Holder System uses quick-disconnect part holders.

FlexLoc(TM) Convertible Holder System for indexing conveyors provides positioning accuracy of +/- 0.01 in. tolerance in 4 axes. Quick-disconnect part holders firmly attach to standard profiles, which are ultrasonically welded to conveyor belt. System ensures precision delivery of small parts for robotic handling, automated assembly, vision inspection, laser imprinting and packaging systems.

Conveyor Technologies Recieves Patent For New FlexLoc(TM) Convertible Holder System For Low-Profile Indexing Conveyors

January 2002 -- Conveyor Technologies Ltd., Loveland, OH manufacturer of low-profile modular conveyors, has received a patent for its new FlexLoc(TM), Convertible Holder System for indexing conveyors (U.S. Patent No. 6,321,904). The FlexLoc System provides the industry's best positioning accuracy of +/-0.01" tolerance in four axes, ensuring precision delivery of small parts for robotic handling, automated assembly, vision inspection, laser imprinting and packaging systems.

Unlike permanently mounted part holder designs, Conveyor Technologies' FlexLoc System uses quick-disconnect part holders that firmly attach to standard profiles which are ultrasonically welded to the conveyor belt. According to the manufacturer, the system overcomes the inadequacies of conventional heat-welding,
or putting fasteners through the belt to attach part holders. FlexLoc holders can be made in a wide variety of configurations to accommodate the shape and positioning of the part.

The FlexLoc system is part of a patented, modular product design that is foundation to 15 different low-profile conveyor types from Conveyor Technologies.
