BELT TENSIONING, AND REMOVAL Arbitrary tensioning that does not provide a specified
elongation is considered “Random Tensioning”, and is responsible for an
estimated 85% of belt related maintenance costs.
Conveyor Technologies Calibration System indicates the actual
belt length while simultaneously indicating the proper tension position. This
unique system provides precise tensioning, thus eliminating a great amount of
belt related down time and cost. Tool free belt change can be achieved in one minute, when conveyor is on “open
style mounting”.
Combining our tension calibration with the belt release of
our MPB conveyor, has resulted in one of the most significant developments in
Low Profile Conveyors. With a
partial twist of the two knobs, the tail system can pivot back, providing a
large slack belt condition for cleaning under the belt, rapid belt removal, or
maintenance. Release system is free of internal components.
Unlike “Poor Imitations”, the system is immune to “Not Releasing”
caused by faulty operation, internal part failure, and contamination.
Operation does not require any simultaneous, multiple actions for proper
functioning. Unit is rigidly clamped
to frame when in the closed position, to avoid vibration and wear.
Tail pulley retains its calibration when in slack belt position, and
returns belt to calibration value when reset by hand depressing.
Belt release also has an optional feature to permit operation with only
.25” clearance between tail plates and side obstructions.
System is standard on all appropriate conveyors, and is easily
retro-fitted to our earlier units. TP1139B |
